Mrs Hall
Class Teacher

I am so excited to be joining Little Bears Nursery and having the opportunity to care and nurture our preschoolers. As part of Bearsted Primary Academy, I am fortunate to be joining a dedicated and talented team of staff who will ensure that Little Bears Nursery challenges and ignites each individual child’s imagination and starts their education in a positive setting.

I studied a degree in English and absolutely love books, The Tiger Who Came to Tea is my favourite! I then went on to complete a PGCE in Early Years and later a Masters in Education. I have taught from Nursery to KS2 throughout my career including a few years at the largest international school in the USA. My heart and passion lies firmly within the Early Years and being able to teach Nursery at Bearsted Academy is a fantastic opportunity. I cannot wait to join Little Bears Nursery soon where we can enjoy singing, playing, creating and getting muddy in our Forest School.

In our setting we maintain the ratio of adults to children that is set through the safeguarding and welfare requirements. This helps us to:

  • Give time and attention to each child
  • Talk with children about their interests
  • Help children to experience and benefit from the activities we provide
  • Allow children to explore and be adventurous whilst maintaining safety

Key Person and your child

At Little Bears we use a key carer system, this means that each member of staff has a group of children for whom they are responsible for. Your child’s key carer will be the one who will work with you to ensure that your child settles into the nursery and continues to thrive whilst here. Their key carer will complete observations and use these to complete an individual learning journal for your child. Your child’s key carer will be your first port of call should you have any queries about your child whilst they are within the nursery.
