Here at Bearsted Primary Academy Covid-19 has not prevented us from doing what we love- learning alongside our friends in school! We have stayed safe following all the rules closely to ensure pupils and staff can come to school each day and receive face to face teaching. Christmas will obviously be very different for all this year but that has not stopped us from spreading a little festive joy and Christmas spirit.  Our pupils have been busy practising their nativity, where Mary and Joseph are continuously reminded to wear their masks whilst on their journey to Bethlehem and the innkeepers sadly have no room due to Tier 3 restrictions.  The children have loved it and we can’t wait for their families to watch it now that it has been safely recorded, following government guidance. Families will receive a link in order to watch their child’s performance in the safety of their own home. As well as recording their nativity, they have also recorded a special Christmas message to their friends at Invicta Court Care Home which will be played on Christmas Eve and when Christmas cards made by the children will also be handed out to each resident. Even though the restrictions have meant we have had to adapt our original plans for Christmas here at BPA, our pupils have still enjoyed the magic and have managed to share it with their families and those within the community. Our first ever Christmas at Bearsted Primary Academy has been a success with much magic in the air!
