Rupert and Paddington Bear Adventures
At Bearsted Primary Academy our Achievement Assembly is held every Friday morning. During this assembly, one child from each class will be awarded a Super Star certificate for exceptional behaviour linking to the IB learner profile attributes. The child who receives this certificate will also be given Rupert or Paddington Bear (dependent on which class they are in) to take home for the weekend. A journal will also be given to them to record what they get up to with Rupert or Paddington over the weekend. Each child who receives their class bear will have one page of the book to write what they got up to and to stick in pictures of their adventures. We ask that the class bear and journal be returned on the Monday so we can put the bears and their books into quarantine before the next Achievement Assembly.
We will also be awarding one child from each class the Bearsted Hero certificate. This certificate is to celebrate a child who has displayed such attributes as kindness, thoughtfulness, empathy and have been caring. These link to our British Values and understanding what it means to be a good citizen.
